Good morning all,
The word of the day is “surrender.” Jeremiah was a dude who
knew a little about what it meant to live life for God. He was given a pretty
tough task in delivering God’s message. Prophets were not always the most
popular peeps on the block for the fact that they brought what needed to be
heard – not always what others wanted to hear. Nevertheless, he was bold in this
speech, knowing that God was with him. I love this verse here because after his
address to Israel, Jeremiah prayed…
“I know, O Lord, that a man’s life is not his own; it is not
for man to direct his steps.”
~Jer. 10:23
Jeremiah knew his life was not his own. My question is: How
willing are you to allow God to direct your steps? Sometimes we want to do
things our way. We get so focused on school, work, family, friends, and other
madness that we forget that we are God’s creation. My prayer is that each of
you surrenders your heart to the Lord. Let the Spirit renew you today as you
remember God’s covenant, both with his peeps back then… and in your own life.
Praying for you,
mo
