Quench (Isaiah 41:17-20)

Good morning all,

The word of the day is “quench.” The Major Prophets in the Bible have some really sweet poetry. In this passage, we see that God is the only one who can answer our needs for certain things. The Middle East was known in the past for being void of water sources. God is even so powerful that he can make trees grow in places where they should not. What is impossible for others is not for God.

“The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst.”
~Is. 41:17

My question is: when you feel tired and parched, where do you look to quench that thirst? I know that the easy answer is that we look to God, but I really don't think it is that easy. We rely a lot of the time on our own strength and understanding in situations. My prayer is that when you are tired and weary, you look to God and take a moment even just to pray for guidance. I think that when we put our trust in God, especially when we are most frustrated, we have a better chance of making it through a situation positively.

Praying for you,

mo
