Adjust (2 Timothy 1:8-12)

Good morning all,

The word of the day is “adjust.” Throughout time God has called his peeps to constant change.  Whether it was in the OT or NT, the Lord wanted to make sure that his followers continued to come closer to him.  The Apostle Paul knew what it meant to have a tight relationship with God.  He had a pretty tumultuous life and realized that he continually needed to move both himself and others toward a relationship that was much deeper with God, on a continual basis.  In this passage young Timothy receives instruction from Paul on what it means to move towards that deeper relationship.

"But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace."
~2 Tim 1:8-9

My question is: are you continuing to adjust to meet the standards that God has for your life?  Sometimes we get wrapped up in everything else that is going on and forget that God wants to mold us.  My prayer is that each of you rejoices in that saving grace that God has freely given and that you live with purpose.  As we adjust our lives to meet the work of Christ, we are testimony to others that they also can change.

Praying for you,

mo
