Delate (Mark 15:3-4)

Good morning all,

The word of the day is "delate.” Jesus led a pretty intense life. If there's one thing that you could say about him, it is that he never had a dull moment. From the time he was a kid and he taught all of the old guys in the Temple, to the very last moments of his life, all the way to reappearing and beating death, I would have to say that is pretty exciting. Throughout his ministry Jesus was often accused of a ton of different stuff. Towards the end of his life he stood before one of the most powerful men of the day to give account.

The chief priests accused him of many things. So again Pilate asked him, “Aren’t you going to answer? See how many things they are accusing you of.” But Jesus still made no reply, and Pilate was amazed.
~Mk. 15:3-4

Even when Jesus chose not to use words he still amazed people. My question for you is: where you stand when your faith is on the line? In this particular passage the chief priests delate, or accuse him, of a lot of stuff that was not true. Through all of this Jesus remained calm and collected. My prayer for you is that when your faith is challenged that you would be affirmed by the fact that Jesus has called you to follow him and live a life worthy to that calling.

Praying for you,

Mo
