Squall (Mark 4:25-40)

Good morning all,

The word of the day is "squall." Every time there is a rainy day with thunder and lightning I think of all of the times in the Bible where Jesus took care of nature. In this specific passage today we see that Jesus has control over pretty much everything. The disciples doubted that they would be safe, even though they were with the Savior.

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, “Peace, be still.” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
~Mk. 4:39

My question is: how do you feel during the storms of life? I know that might seem like a trivial question, but don't we often get stressed out about stuff that in the long run is pretty menial? The cool thing about it is that Jesus knows our spirit and wants to help us, especially in the tough times. My prayer is that each of you looks toward the Savior during the present difficulties in your life, and know that he wants you to be still even when you least feel like doing so.

Praying for you,

mo
