Kismet (Ephesians 2:10)

Good morning all,

The word of the day is “kismet.” I have to say that this is always one of my favorites. God has a way of using his words to comfort those of us who shouldn’t necessarily get a ticket to eternal life. When writing a letter to the church in Ephesus, the Apostle Paul wanted to make sure that people understood how important they were to God’s family. They did not deserve anything given by Christ, yet by that grace they were able to be called a part of God’s family.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
~Eph. 2:10

My question for you is: when is the last time you sat back and marveled at God’s choice to add you to the family? I love the fact that we are adopted children in God’s family through his son, Jesus Christ. God called you in advance, a kind of kismet, or fate. Take advantage of the fact that you understand God’s love for you. I pray that each of you see yourself as God’s workmanship, perfect in his sight. Go out today and let someone know how special he or she are to the Father.

Praying for you,

Mo
